Air Austral Baggage Policy

Below is a concise overview of Air Austral's baggage policy based on the latest available information.

Cabin Baggage (Carry-On)

All Passengers (Loisirs, Confort, Club Austral):

  • One carry-on bag up to 12 kg and 55 x 35 x 25 cm (including handles, wheels, and pockets, total linear dimensions 115 cm) for flights on A220, B787, and B777 aircraft.
  • One personal item (e.g., handbag, laptop bag, or camera bag) up to 45 x 35 x 20 cm, included in the 12 kg total weight limit with the carry-on.
  • ATR 72-600 flights (operated by EWA Air): One carry-on or one personal item up to 12 kg, due to limited cabin space.

Infants (under 2 years, no seat):

  • One carry-on bag up to 12 kg (same size limits as adults).

Children (2-11 years):

  • Same carry-on allowance as adults based on fare type.

Notes:

  • Liquids in carry-ons must be in containers of 100 ml or less in a 1-liter resealable plastic bag.
  • Non-compliant bags (oversized/overweight) may be checked into the hold with fees (e.g., €50-€100 depending on route). Enforcement is strict at Saint-Denis and Paris CDG, with size/weight checks at check-in or boarding.
  • Valuables (e.g., documents, jewelry, electronics) should be in carry-on, not checked. Label bags with name, phone, and destination address.
  • For smaller aircraft (e.g., ATR 72), overhead space is limited, and carry-ons may be gate-checked free of charge.
