Alaska Airlines Baggage Policy (based on the latest information from Alaska Airlines’ official website and related sources.

Carry-On Baggage

Allowance:

  • All passengers, including Saver (Basic Economy) fares, are allowed 1 carry-on bag and 1 personal item (e.g., purse, briefcase, laptop bag) free of charge.
  • Dimensions:
    • Carry-on: Maximum 22 x 14 x 9 inches (56 x 36 x 23 cm), including handles and wheels (45 linear inches).

  • Weight: No explicit weight limit, but passengers must be able to lift the bag into the overhead bin comfortably.

Notes:

  • Exceptions: Items like coats, hats, umbrellas, pillows, or reading material don’t count toward the allowance. Diaper bags count as a personal item.
  • Special items (e.g., small musical instruments, fishing poles, delicate equipment) may be carried on if they fit size limits and can be stowed safely.
  • Liquids: Containers ≤ 100 ml (3.4 oz) in a 1-quart resealable plastic bag (per TSA rules).
