Avelo Airlines offers a flexible flight change policy designed to accommodate passengers' needs. Changes can be made to flight reservations under specific conditions, with applicable fees and fare differences depending on the timing of the change and whether AveloFlex was purchased.
Key Policy Details
- No Change Fees with AveloFlex: If AveloFlex is purchased during booking, passengers can change or cancel their flight up to 15 minutes prior to departure without penalty or fee. AveloFlex must be purchased for all travelers and flights in the reservation and can only be used once per flight.
- Standard Change Policy: For reservations booked on or after March 7, 2025, without AveloFlex, change fees are applied based on the timing of the change:
- More than 7 days before departure: 25% of the total fare (including base fare and add-ons like bags or seats) is charged as a fee.
- 3 to 7 days before departure: 50% of the total fare is charged.
- Less than 3 days before departure: 75% of the total fare is charged.
- Free Changes Within 24 Hours: Passengers can make free changes to their flight reservations within 24 hours of purchase, provided the departure is at least 168 hours (7 days) away. This does not apply to group reservations or bookings made with frequent flyer miles.
- Fare Difference: If the new flight is more expensive, passengers must pay the fare difference. If less expensive, the difference is issued as Avelo Travel Funds (ATF) for future use, valid for one year from issuance.
- Change Deadline: Changes can be made up to 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time for the unused portion of the ticket.
- Customer Support Center Fee: A $25 fee per seated traveler applies for changes made through Avelo’s Customer Support Center, but not for online changes.
- Non-Transferable Funds: Avelo Travel Funds issued from changes are non-transferable and have no cash or refund value.
- Name Corrections: Only minor name corrections (e.g., misspellings) are allowed, and passengers must contact the Customer Support Center for assistance.
How to Change Your Flight
Passengers can modify their bookings through the following methods:
- Online: Visit the Avelo Airlines website, navigate to the "Manage Trips" section, enter your reservation details, select the new flight, and confirm changes. If payment is due, enter payment information; otherwise, confirm the changes.
- Customer Support Center: Contact Avelo’s Customer Support Center at the provided phone number. Provide reservation details, and the representative will assist with the change, subject to the $25 fee per traveler.
- At the Airport: Visit an Avelo Airlines ticketing counter to request changes in person.
