Caribbean Airlines Baggage Policy

Allowance: Each passenger is allowed one carry-on bag and one personal item (e.g., handbag, laptop bag, or small backpack) free of charge.
Size and Weight Restrictions:
- Carry-On Bag: Maximum dimensions are 22 x 14 x 9 inches (56 x 36 x 23 cm), including handles and wheels. Maximum weight is 22 lbs (10 kg).
- Personal Item: Must fit under the seat, with maximum dimensions of 13 x 17 x 6 inches (33 x 43 x 15 cm).
- Note: Some sources indicate a lower weight limit of 15 lbs (7 kg) for carry-on bags, so it’s advisable to verify with the airline for your specific flight.
Additional Notes:
- Passengers traveling with infants may bring a collapsible stroller, infant-carrying basket, or car seat, subject to space availability. Infants are also allowed one carry-on bag up to 22 lbs (10 kg).
- If carry-on exceeds size or weight limits, it may be tagged and placed in the cargo hold with fees: $100 for an extra carry-on, $50 for overweight (24–50 lbs / 11–23 kg), or $50 for oversized (over 45 inches / 114 cm). Bags over 50 lbs (23 kg) are not accepted at the gate.

Economy Lite: No free checked bags; passengers can purchase baggage (e.g., $30 for the first bag, $40 for the second).
Economy Classic: One free checked bag (up to 50 lbs / 23 kg, 62 inches / 157 cm). A second bag may be free for Caribbean Miles Silver/Gold/Executive Gold members or tertiary students (exclusions apply for domestic flights and flights to/from Grenada, USA, or Canada).
Economy Flex, Business (Biz), and Business Flex (Biz Flex): Two free checked bags (up to 50 lbs / 23 kg each, 62 inches / 157 cm). Biz Flex allows three free bags.
Domestic Flights (Trinidad and Tobago): One free checked bag for Economy (50 lbs / 23 kg, 62 inches / 157 cm). Business Class allows two bags (up to 70 lbs / 32 kg each).

Allowance: Items like bicycles, golf clubs, and scuba gear may count toward free baggage if within weight (50 lbs / 23 kg) and size (62 inches / 157 cm) limits. Oversized/overweight items incur fees and are accepted on a standby basis.
Specific Rules:
- Bicycles: Must be packed in a bike box or bag; fees apply if exceeding allowance.
- Scuba Gear: Tanks must be empty; fees may apply.
- Musical Instruments: Can be carried on if within carry-on limits; otherwise, checked with potential fees.
- Televisions: Accepted as checked baggage if under 70 lbs (32 kg) and 115 inches (292 cm); otherwise, shipped as cargo.
Non-Accepted Items: Hang gliding equipment, javelins, kayaks/canoes, pole vaults, windsurfing boards, and sailboards are not accepted as baggage.

In-Cabin Pets: Small pets (up to 70 lbs / 32 kg, including carrier) are allowed in a carrier meeting carry-on size restrictions. Fees: TTD 3.00 per kg for Trinidad and Tobago routes, $150 USD or $230 CAD for other routes.
Checked Pets: Larger pets can travel in the cargo hold with the same weight and size limits. Must be booked 72 hours in advance with health certificates and vaccination records.
Service Dogs: Free in-cabin travel for disabled passengers, with proper documentation.
