Georgian Airways Baggage Policy

Carry-On Baggage:
  • Economy Class (except Light fare): One piece, max 8 kg, dimensions up to 55 x 40 x 20 cm (115 cm total, including handles and wheels).
  • Premium Economy & Business Class: One piece, max 12 kg, or two pieces at 12 kg total, dimensions up to 55 x 40 x 20 cm.
  • Personal Item: One additional item (e.g., briefcase, laptop bag, or handbag) up to 5 kg is allowed, with dimensions not exceeding 40 x 30 x 10 cm.
  • Liquids: Containers up to 100 ml each, placed in a 1-liter transparent, resealable plastic bag (total liquid volume not exceeding 1 liter).
Checked Baggage:
  • Economy Light: No free checked baggage allowance.
  • Economy Standard: 20 kg or 23 kg (depending on fare), max dimensions 158 cm (length + width + height).
  • Economy Flexi: 23 kg, max dimensions 158 cm.
  • Business Class: 30 kg or 2 pieces at 32 kg each, max dimensions 158 cm.
  • Children (2–12 years): Same allowance as adults, except for Light fare (no free checked baggage).
  • Infants (under 2 years): 10 kg (max 115 cm) plus a foldable stroller or car seat.
Excess Baggage Fees:
  • Fees apply for overweight (over 23 kg or 32 kg for Business), oversized (over 158 cm), or extra pieces (third bag or more, $85–$95 per bag).
  • Fees vary by route and can range from €30–€105 for additional 23 kg or 32 kg, or oversized items up to 203 cm.
Special Baggage:
  • Sports Equipment: Bicycles, tandems, and skis (free in winter season, 15.12–28.03, if within weight limits) must be pre-booked and packed in a travel case or cardboard. Max weight 23 kg.
  • Musical Instruments or Fragile Items: Can be carried in the cabin (CBBG) if an extra seat is purchased, max 22.5 kg per seat, dimensions suitable for a passenger seat.
  • Pets: Dogs, cats, and household birds (domestic Georgia flights only) allowed for $125 one-way domestically, $200 internationally. Pets must be in a carrier fitting under the seat.
Prohibited Items:
  • Checked Baggage: Lithium batteries, flammable liquids/gases, corrosives, explosives, and disabling devices (e.g., mace, pepper spray).
  • Carry-On Baggage: Firearms, toy guns, sharp objects, explosives, and liquids over 100 ml. Check TSA and airline rules for updates.
Lost, Damaged, or Delayed Baggage:
