Eligibility for Name Changes
- Minor Spelling Errors: Corrections of up to three characters in the first or last name are permitted free of charge to fix typographical errors. Errors of four or more characters can be corrected with proper documentation but may incur fees.
- Legal Name Changes: Changes due to marriage, divorce, or other legal reasons are allowed with supporting documentation, such as a marriage certificate, divorce decree, or legal name change certificate.
- Full Name Changes: Transferring a ticket to another person is permitted, unlike many airlines, but it applies to the entire itinerary and requires an administration fee per person, per one-way flight.
- Non-Transferable Restrictions: Name changes must be for the entire trip, not individual segments, and are not allowed after check-in or for partially used tickets.
Process for Name Changes
Name changes can be requested through the following methods:
- Online: Access the Manage My Booking section on the Jet2 website or app. Enter the booking reference and last name, select the booking, and follow prompts to change names. Minor corrections of up to three characters can be made online for free; other changes may require payment. Changes are allowed up to a few hours before departure.
- Customer Support: Contact Jet2’s customer service via phone or email for major changes or legal name corrections. Provide booking details, new passenger information, and required documentation.
- Airport Sales Desk: Visit a Jet2 sales desk at the airport at least a few hours before departure to request changes, providing valid ID and documentation.
- Third-Party Bookings: For tickets booked through travel agencies, changes must be requested through the original booking channel, which may involve additional fees.
Fees and Conditions
