Carry-On Baggage
  • Economy Class: One carry-on bag (max 10 kg/22 lbs) and one personal item (e.g., laptop, handbag, briefcase). Total dimensions not exceeding 115 cm (45 in, length + width + height, max 55 x 40 x 20 cm or 21.7 x 15.7 x 7.9 in). Total weight not exceeding 12 kg (26 lbs). Must fit in overhead bin or under seat.
  • First/Prestige Class: Two carry-on bags (max 18 kg/40 lbs total) plus one personal item. Same size restrictions apply.
  • Infants (under 2 years): One carry-on bag (max 10 kg/22 lbs, 115 cm/45 in) plus one stroller or car seat free on international flights. Domestic flights allow one stroller or car seat only, no baggage allowance.
  • Liquids, Aerosols, Gels (LAGs): Containers up to 100 ml in a 1-liter transparent, resealable plastic bag (total volume ≤ 1 liter).
  • Notes: Strict enforcement at Incheon (ICN) and U.S. airports (e.g., DFW, LAX). Oversized/overweight carry-on may be gate-checked for $50–$100 USD. Flights from India or U.S. may limit all classes to one carry-on plus one personal item due to security. Bulkhead seats lack under-seat storage during takeoff/landing.
Checked Baggage
  • Max Limits: Each bag up to 32 kg (70 lbs), max 158 cm (62 in, length + width + height). Bags over 32 kg or 203 cm (80 in) must be shipped via cargo. Exceptions: 180 cm (71 in) for flights from Dubai, Bangkok, Mumbai, Hong Kong, Guangzhou.
  • Domestic Flights (South Korea):
    • Economy: 20 kg (44 lbs) total.
    • Prestige/First Class: 30 kg (66 lbs) total.
  • International Flights:
    • To/From Americas, Europe, Africa, Oceania, Middle East:
      • Economy: 2 pieces, 23 kg (50 lbs) each.
      • Prestige/First Class: 2–3 pieces, 32 kg (70 lbs) each (3 pieces for First Class to Americas).
    • Within Asia (except Japan):
      • Economy: 1–2 pieces, 23 kg (50 lbs) each (varies by route).
      • Prestige/First Class: 2 pieces, 32 kg (70 lbs) each.
    • Economy Saver (select routes): 1 piece, 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Children (2+ years): Same allowance as adults.
  • Infants (under 2 years): 10 kg (22 lbs) plus one stroller or car seat free on international flights; domestic flights allow stroller/car seat only.
  • SKYPASS Benefits:
    • Morning Calm Club: +1 piece (23 kg Economy, 32 kg Prestige/First, except Americas).

    • Million Miler Club: +1 piece (32 kg all classes).

Excess Baggage Fees (One-Way)
  • Domestic (South Korea): KRW 2,000 (~$1.50 USD) per kg over allowance.
  • International (e.g., to/from Americas, Europe, Africa, Oceania, Middle East):
    • Extra bag: $100–$200 USD (e.g., 3rd bag to U.S. $200).
    • Overweight (23–32 kg): $100 USD per bag.

    • Oversized (158–203 cm): $200 USD per bag.

Special Baggage
  • Sports Equipment (e.g., golf clubs, skis, snowboards): Counts as one checked bag if ≤23 kg (50 lbs); otherwise, $100 USD fee (overweight 23–32 kg, $100–$200 USD). Must be packed in boxes/covers and checked at oversized counter.
  • Musical Instruments: Small instruments (e.g., violin, ≤115 cm/45 in) free as carry-on. Larger instruments (e.g., cello, double bass) require extra seat purchase or checked ($100 USD if exceeding allowance). Hard case and insurance recommended.

Prohibited Items
