La Compagnie, officially Dreamjet SAS, is a French boutique airline founded in 2013, offering an all-business-class experience on transatlantic and seasonal European routes. Headquartered in Paris, France, it operates from hubs at Paris Orly Airport (ORY), Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR), Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP), and seasonally from Nice Côte d'Azur Airport (NCE). Launched on July 21, 2014, with a single Boeing 757-200, La Compagnie serves three primary routes—Paris to New York, Milan to New York, and Nice to New York (seasonal)—with a fleet of two Airbus A321neos, with a third on order for 2026. Known for its slogan “The Compagnie for those who want to enjoy a business class cabin only at particularly affordable prices,” it emphasizes personalized service, competitive pricing, and sustainability, achieving a 30% reduction in CO2 emissions with its A321neo fleet. La Compagnie carried 480,000 passengers across 9,000 flights by its 10th anniversary in 2024, earning a Skytrax 4-Star Airline rating for its premium cabin and service.
La Compagnie began with a vision to offer affordable, all-business-class flights, launching its first Paris–New York flight on July 21, 2014, using a Boeing 757-200. A second aircraft joined in 2015, briefly serving London–New York until Brexit forced its withdrawal in 2016, doubling Paris–New York frequencies instead. In 2019, La Compagnie transitioned to two Airbus A321neos, introducing a seasonal Nice–New York route. The Milan–New York route launched in April 2022, diversifying its network post-COVID-19. The airline marked its 10th anniversary in 2024, announcing a third A321neo for September 2026. Despite challenges like a 2015 cyberattack and pandemic-related traffic drops, La Compagnie’s partnerships with brands like Piper-Heidsieck and Caudalie enhance its boutique appeal. A 2023 Condé Nast Traveler review praised its “hotel-in-the-sky” experience, though operational hiccups have drawn criticism.
La Compagnie operates from Terminal 4 at ORY, Terminal B at EWR, and Terminal 1 at MXP, with seasonal operations at NCE. Its network includes daily Paris–New York flights (8 hours westbound, 7.5 hours eastbound), up to five weekly Milan–New York flights, and seasonal Nice–New York services (April–October). The airline offers no codeshares but partners with easyJet’s Worldwide program for European connections. In 2024, it operated 1,200 flights, with a 90% load factor. Cargo services are minimal, focusing on passenger luggage. Check-in counters open 2 hours before departure, with priority security and lounge access at ORY (Extime Lounge), MXP (Monteverdi Lounge), and EWR (dining vouchers due to no dedicated lounge). A new LOUNGE&CO at EWR is planned for 2025.
