Lion Air Baggage Policy Overview
Carry-On Baggage
  • All Passengers: One carry-on bag, max 7 kg (15 lbs), dimensions not exceeding 40 x 30 x 20 cm (15.7 x 11.8 x 7.9 in, including handles/wheels), plus one personal item (e.g., handbag, laptop bag, reading material, small camera, umbrella) that fits under the seat.
  • Infants (under 2 years): One personal item (e.g., baby equipment) fitting under the seat, plus one collapsible stroller or car seat free.
  • Liquids, Aerosols, Gels (LAGs): Containers up to 100 ml in a 1-liter transparent, resealable plastic bag (total volume ≤ 1 liter), presented separately at security. Duty-free items must be in sealed plastic bags with proof of purchase.
  • Notes: Strict enforcement at Jakarta (CGK), Denpasar (DPS), and Bangkok (DMK). Oversized/overweight bags checked into hold for ~IDR 400,000 (~$25 USD) or THB 400 (~$12 USD) per kg. Checked Baggage

    • Tickets purchased before July 17, 2025: 15 kg (33 lbs) or 20 kg (44 lbs) free, route-dependent (e.g., 15 kg for Maluku, Papua).
    • Tickets purchased on/after July 17, 2025: 10 kg (22 lbs) free for all routes.
    • Business Class: 30 kg (66 lbs) free, regardless of ticket purchase date.
  • International Flights:
    • Economy: 15 kg (33 lbs) free (20 kg for select routes like Guangzhou, Jeddah).
    • Business Class: 20 kg (44 lbs) free.
  • Children (2+ years): Same allowance as adults.

Excess Baggage Fees (One-Way)
