Carry-On Baggage
- All Passengers: One carry-on bag, max 8 kg (17 lbs), dimensions up to 55 x 40 x 20 cm (21.6 x 15.7 x 7.8 in, total 115 cm, including handles/wheels), plus one personal item (e.g., handbag, laptop bag, camera bag, small backpack) that must fit under the seat (approx. 40 x 30 x 20 cm, not strictly enforced).
- Infants (under 2 years, no seat): One carry-on bag within adult’s allowance (8 kg), plus one collapsible stroller, car seat, or carrycot free, max 5 kg (11 lbs) if carried in cabin.
- Liquids, Aerosols, Gels (LAGs): Containers up to 100 ml in a 1-liter transparent, resealable plastic bag (total volume ≤ 1 liter). Duty-free liquids in sealed security bags allowed with proof of purchase.
- Notes: Strict weight checks at Milan Malpensa (MXP), New York (JFK), and Verona (VRN); size checks less consistent. Oversized/overweight bags sent to hold with fees (~€50–€150/$55–$165 USD). Limited overhead space on Boeing 737s; early boarding advised.
Checked Baggage
- Max Limits: Each bag up to 23 kg (50 lbs) for Economy, 30 kg (66 lbs) for Premium Economy, max 158 cm (62 in, length + width + height). Bags over 23 kg (Economy) or 30 kg (Premium) or >158 cm (up to 292 cm/115 in) incur excess fees; over 32 kg or 292 cm sent via cargo.
- Short/Medium-Haul Flights (e.g., Europe, North Africa):
- Economy Promo: No free checked baggage.
- Economy Relax: 1 bag, max 15 kg (33 lbs).
- Economy Freedom: 1 bag, max 20 kg (44 lbs).
- Premium Economy: 1 bag, max 30 kg (66 lbs).
- Long-Haul Flights (e.g., USA, Caribbean, Asia):
- Economy Light: No free checked baggage; 1st bag fee applies (~$50–$100 USD).
- Economy Standard: 1 bag, max 23 kg (50 lbs).
- Economy Freedom: 2 bags, each max 23 kg (50 lbs).

Prohibited Items
- Checked Baggage: Explosives, flammable liquids/gases, corrosives, e-cigarettes, lithium batteries >160 Wh, hoverboards, camping stoves.
- Carry-On Baggage: Sharp objects, firearms, liquids >100 ml (except LAGs bag), stun devices, toy weapons. One lighter allowed in transparent bag or on person.

Lost, Damaged, or Delayed Baggage
- Reporting: File Property Irregularity Report (PIR) immediately at airport or within 7 days (damage/loss) or 21 days (delay). Retain claim tags, receipts, photos.
- Liability: Max 1,288 Special Drawing Rights (~$1,800 USD) unless higher value declared. No liability for fragile/perishable items.
