Norwegian Air Flight Change Policy

Norwegian Air Shuttle allows passengers to modify their flight bookings under specific conditions, with rules and fees varying by fare type. Below is an updated overview of the flight change policy.

Online Changes

Passengers can modify bookings online by logging into their profile or entering their booking reference and surname on the Norwegian website. If a profile was not used, a verification code will be sent to the registered mobile phone for authentication.

Change Fees

For LowFare, LowFare+, and Premium tickets, changes to date, time, or destination incur a fee per person, per flight segment. Flex and PremiumFlex tickets may allow one free rebooking, excluding any fare difference. No change fees apply for bookings modified within a specific period after purchase: for bookings made more than a day before departure, changes within a day of booking are free; for bookings made less than a day before departure, changes within a few hours of booking are free. Changes made via phone or at the airport incur an additional service charge per person, per segment.

Fare Differences

If the new flight is more expensive, passengers must pay the fare difference. No refund is provided if the new fare is cheaper.

Time Limits

Changes can be made up to half an hour before the scheduled departure time. Certain tickets may require changes to be processed through the Contact Centre rather than online.

Destination Changes

Destination changes are restricted to the same category: domestic to domestic within the same country or international to international, subject to availability within the same ticket type.

Name Changes

Name changes are permitted up to half an hour before departure for most destinations, applicable to all flights in the booking. A name change fee applies, varying by ticket type, and must be completed before the first flight in the booking. For round-trip tickets, online name changes apply to both segments; for one-way changes, contact the Contact Centre.

Special Circumstances

In cases of flight disruptions due to airline-controlled issues, such as cancellations, passengers may be offered rebooking or refunds under applicable regulations. If Cancellation Protection was purchased, a full refund may be available if travel is prevented due to illness of the passenger or a close family member.

How to Change Your Flight

Passengers can modify bookings through the following methods:

  • Online: Log into the Norwegian website, access "My Travels," and follow the prompts to change date, time, or destination.
  • Phone or Airport: Contact the Norwegian Contact Centre or visit an airport ticket office, noting additional service charges apply.
Additional Notes
  • Check fare rules for your ticket type (LowFare, LowFare+, Premium, Flex, or PremiumFlex) to understand specific conditions.
  • Changes are subject to availability, and fares are not guaranteed until the booking is confirmed.
  • For group bookings or special cases, contact the Norwegian Contact Centre for specific policies.
  • Norwegian reserves the right to update conditions and fees, so passengers should verify details at the time of booking.
