S7 Airlines Flight Change Policy

S7 Airlines, a major Russian carrier, allows passengers to modify flight bookings under specific conditions, with rules and fees varying by fare type and route. Below is an overview of the flight change policy based on available information.

Online Changes

Passengers who booked through the S7 Airlines website, mobile app, or Contact Centre can modify bookings via the "My Bookings" section by entering their reservation reference and last name. Changes include flight date, time, or switching from a connecting to a direct flight with the same departure and arrival points, subject to availability.

Third-Party Bookings

For tickets purchased through travel agents or third-party platforms, passengers must contact the issuing agent to request changes. Exceptions include flights with partner airlines like Cyprus Airways, which require changes through the S7 Contact Centre.

Fare Types and Change Rules

S7 Airlines offers four fare types: Economy Basic, Economy Flex, Business Basic, and Business Flex, each with distinct change policies:

  • Economy Basic: Changes incur a fee per segment, and seat selection is available for an additional cost.
  • Economy Flex: Changes are free, including one checked bag, with free seat selection during check-in.
  • Business Basic: Changes incur a fee, with one checked bag included and priority boarding.
  • Business Flex: Changes are free, with two checked bags, priority boarding, and free seat selection.
Change Fees

Changes made within a day of booking are free if the flight is at least a week away. Beyond this period, Economy Basic and Business Basic fares incur a fee per segment, displayed during the booking change process. Economy Flex and Business Flex fares allow free changes. Additional service charges apply for changes made via the Contact Centre, sales offices, or airport counters. For flights with partner airlines, changes may involve extra fees.

Fare Differences

If the new flight is more expensive, passengers must pay the fare difference in addition to any change fee. No refund is provided if the new fare is lower.

Time Limits

Changes can be made up to a few hours before departure for eligible fares, subject to availability. Changes for international flights or bookings with additional products like hotel or car rentals must be handled through the Contact Centre. Failing to notify the airline of unused segments results in automatic cancellation of subsequent flights.

Destination Changes

Route changes are permitted only from connecting to direct flights with the same departure and arrival points, if available. International segments cannot be added to domestic flights within the same ticket.

Name Changes

Ticket transfers to another person or full name changes are not permitted. Minor corrections, such as fixing errors in personal details, are allowed through the Contact Centre with a fee, requiring details like full name, date of birth, passport information, and booking reference.

Airline-Initiated Changes

If S7 Airlines cancels or significantly delays a flight, passengers can rebook on the next available flight without fees or request a full refund, including taxes, for unused segments. Refunds may take up to a couple of months to process, with additional charges for refunds at sales offices.

How to Change Your Flight

Passengers can modify bookings through the following methods:

  • Online: Access "My Bookings" on the S7 Airlines website or app, enter booking details, select new flight options, and pay any applicable fees.
  • Offline: Contact the S7 Contact Centre, use the in-app chat, or visit a sales office or airport counter, noting additional service charges may apply.
Additional Notes
  • Changes must comply with fare conditions, and passengers should review rules at booking.
  • Online changes are available only for tickets paid by credit card and booked directly through S7 channels.
  • S7 Priority members may enjoy additional benefits, such as free seat selection or extra baggage, depending on their status.
  • For international flights, passengers must ensure compliance with visa and entry requirements, as these cannot be changed post-booking.
