Scoot Flight Change Policy

Scoot Airlines, a Singapore-based low-cost carrier, allows passengers to modify flight bookings under specific conditions, with rules and fees varying by fare type and timing. Below is an overview of the flight change policy based on available information.

Online Changes

Passengers who booked through the Scoot website or mobile app can modify bookings via the "Manage My Booking" section by entering their booking reference and surname. Changes include flight date or time, subject to availability and fare rules.

Third-Party Bookings

For tickets purchased through travel agents or third-party platforms, passengers must contact the issuing agent to request changes, as direct modifications through Scoot are not permitted.

Fare Types and Change Rules

Scoot offers several fare types, including Economy (Fly, FlyBag, FlyBagEat) and ScootPlus, with specific change policies:

  • Fly: Changes incur a fee per person per segment, plus fare differences.
  • FlyBag and FlyBagEat: Changes incur a fee, with baggage allowances included.
  • ScootPlus: Changes incur a fee, with higher baggage allowances and priority services.
  • Flexibility Add-On: Optional add-on allows unlimited date or time changes without a change fee, but fare differences apply.
Change Fees

Changes made within a day of booking are free if the flight is at least a day away. Beyond this period, a fee applies per person per segment, varying by route and fare type, with higher fees for changes made via the Call Centre or airport compared to online. The Flexibility add-on waives change fees but not fare differences. Additional service fees may apply for changes at the airport or for specific routes. Changes are not permitted for interline or partner airline flights.

Fare Differences

If the new flight is more expensive, passengers must pay the fare difference in addition to any change fee. No refund is provided if the new fare is lower.

Time Limits

Changes are permitted up to a few hours before the scheduled departure of the original or new flight, whichever is earlier. Changes to pre-purchased products like seats or baggage must be made a couple of hours before departure. No changes are allowed after the flight has departed or for checked-in flights.

Destination Changes

Origin or destination changes are not permitted. Passengers must cancel and rebook, which is not allowed as Scoot tickets are non-cancellable and non-refundable, except in specific cases like significant schedule changes or bereavement.

Name Changes

Name changes are permitted up to a few hours before departure for all flights in the booking, with a fee per passenger per segment. Minor spelling corrections are free within a day of booking if the flight is at least a day away. Fees are higher for changes made via the Call Centre or airport.

Airline-Initiated Changes

If Scoot cancels or reschedules a flight by a few hours or more, passengers can rebook on another Scoot flight of the same origin and destination within a couple of weeks of the original date at no additional cost, subject to availability, or request a refund with an administrative fee. Refunds are also available in cases of a passenger’s or immediate family member’s death, with supporting documentation.

How to Change Your Flight

Passengers can modify bookings through the following methods:

  • Online: Access "Manage My Booking" on the Scoot website or app, enter booking details, select new flight options, and pay any applicable fees.
  • Offline: Contact the Scoot Call Centre or visit an airport counter, noting additional service charges may apply.
Additional Notes
  • Passengers should review fare rules at booking, as conditions vary by fare type and route.
  • Promotional bookings, like Two-to-Go, require changes to apply to all passengers in the booking.
  • Pre-purchased add-ons like seats or baggage transfer to the new flight if available; otherwise, alternatives or refunds are offered.
  • KrisFlyer miles can be accrued for eligible bookings, credited after the flight is flown.
