Singapore Airlines Baggage Policy
Below is the baggage policy for Singapore Airlines, covering carry-on and checked baggage allowances, fees, and restrictions for 2025. The policy uses a weight concept for most routes and a piece concept for flights to/from the USA and Canada. For the latest details. Always check your e-ticket for specific allowances, as policies may vary by route, fare type, or codeshare partner.
Carry-On Baggage
Passengers are allowed carry-on baggage based on travel class, with strict size and weight limits to ensure safe stowage in overhead bins or under seats.
- Economy and Premium Economy Class:
- 1 piece of carry-on baggage, max 7 kg (15 lbs).
- Dimensions: Total linear dimensions (length + width + height) up to 115 cm (45 in), e.g., 55 x 40 x 20 cm.
- Business Class, First Class, and Suites:
- 2 pieces of carry-on baggage, each max 7 kg (15 lbs), total 14 kg (30 lbs).
- Dimensions: Each piece up to 115 cm (45 in) in total linear dimensions.
- Infants (Under 2 Years, No Seat):
- Infant food, breast milk, and amenities (e.g., diapers) for in-flight use, max 6 kg (13.2 lbs), in addition to the adult’s carry-on allowance.
- Lightweight, collapsible stroller allowed as carry-on if within 115 cm (45 in) and 7 kg (15 lbs); otherwise, it must be checked.
- Additional Free Items:
- One small personal item (e.g., laptop bag, handbag, walking stick, crutches, duty-free goods), max 40 x 30 x 10 cm (16 x 12 x 4 in), not counted in allowance.
- Medical equipment (e.g., portable oxygen concentrators) allowed with prior approval, not counted in allowance.
Notes:
- Bags must fit in overhead bins or under seats. Bulkhead seats lack underseat storage during takeoff and landing.

- Prohibited items: Lithium batteries over 160Wh, e-cigarettes (in Singapore), durians, and offensive-smelling food. Power banks for domestic flights in China must have a “3C” certification mark from June 28, 2025.
- Excess carry-on will be checked and may incur fees if over the checked baggage allowance.
