Carry-On Baggage Allowance
UTair allows one carry-on bag and one personal item per passenger, with variations by fare type and class. All carry-on must fit in overhead bins or under the seat.

- Additional items (e.g., coats, umbrellas, duty-free bags up to 3 kg, assistive devices like wheelchairs, walkers, crutches) are free and do not count toward the allowance.
- Liquids in carry-on are restricted to 100 ml containers in a 1-liter transparent, resealable bag, except for medicines, baby food, and duty-free items.
- Extra carry-on (55 x 40 x 25 cm, up to 10 kg) costs 1499 ₽/€25 (prepaid) or 2500 ₽/€40 (airport). At the gate, fees are 4000 ₽/€65 (cabin) or 3000 ₽/€50 (hold).
- Carry-on for musical instruments is allowed if within 55 x 40 x 25 cm (Minimum/Optimum fares: 40 x 30 x 20 cm); larger instruments require an extra seat or checked baggage.
- Enforcement may vary; reports suggest stricter checks on smaller aircraft (e.g., ATR 72) and at major hubs like Moscow Vnukovo.

UTair uses the Piece Concept for most routes, with allowances based on fare type, class, and STATUS membership. Maximum dimensions per piece are 203 cm (80 in); maximum weight varies by class.

- Bags over 50 kg or 203 cm are not accepted and must be shipped as cargo.
- Infants receive a free stroller or car seat in addition to a 10 kg checked bag (55 x 40 x 20 cm, or in cabin if no free checked allowance).
- Codeshare flights (e.g., with Turkish Airlines, Azerbaijan Airlines) may follow the Most Significant Carrier (MSC) rules; check with the ticketing airline.
- Skis, snowboards, hockey equipment, and bicycles (up to 20 kg, 203 cm) are free for Premium/Business fares, in addition to the allowance. Minimum/Optimum fares pay 3000 ₽/€50 per kit per leg.
Excess and Oversized Baggage Fees
Fees apply for excess, overweight, or oversized baggage, with discounts for prepayment more than 36 hours before departure.

Lost, Damaged, or Delayed Baggage
UTair follows the Montreal Convention for baggage issues.
- Delayed: Report at the airport’s Lost and Found desk before leaving and file a Property Irregularity Report (PIR). Claims within 21 days.
- Damaged: Report within 7 days at the airport with a Damage Baggage Report.
- Lost: File a claim within 7 days; compensation up to 1,288 SDR.
- UTair is not liable for fragile items, perishables, money, jewelry, or electronics in checked baggage.
Additional Notes
- Check-in: Online check-in available 24 hours to 45 minutes before departure (1 hour for Vienna/Tel Aviv). Airport check-in closes 40 minutes before departure.
- Assistive Devices: Wheelchairs, crutches, canes, and folding mobility aids are free if they fit in the cabin; advance notification required.
- STATUS Program: Bronze/Silver (+1 piece), Gold (+2 pieces) checked baggage allowance; no extra carry-on.
